Match the agency, personnel and agreement party
Use the current MOM EA Directory route to check the agency and personnel you are dealing with. Compare the names with the proposed agreement, invoice and payment recipient; ask the agency to explain differences. A brand or branch name alone does not settle the legal relationship.
Request an itemised payment schedule
Ask the agency to explain each charge, who pays it, who receives it and when it is due. Separate agency service charges from other proposed amounts and ask how taxes are treated. Do not infer the total from an advertised starting fee or copy figures from another household agreement.
Read replacement and cancellation as specific conditions
Ask which circumstances qualify, what evidence or deadlines apply and which charges remain payable for cancellation, replacement or transfer. Request the written clause and worked explanation for your own proposed arrangement. A replacement offer does not by itself establish a free replacement or refund entitlement.
Keep household fit and worker information separate
Write the household duties, languages, availability and support you need, then ask what information and interview arrangements can be provided. Keep worker identity, health and family information private. Verify current responsibilities through MOM and obtain professional advice where needed; this worksheet does not determine employment rights or eligibility.
Ask each party to explain its charges
Request the proposed agreement and an itemised fee schedule before deciding. Ask who charges each item, when it becomes payable and which written condition explains it. Separate an agency’s own terms from statements about another party. Use the current official sources linked in the guide for the checks they actually cover; a directory description does not validate every contractual or payment relationship.
Record replacement and refund questions
Ask what happens if the proposed arrangement does not proceed or later changes, and request the applicable cancellation, replacement and refund terms in writing. Confirm which party receives questions or concerns and which documents you should retain. Keep unanswered points marked as unconfirmed. This checklist does not determine anyone’s legal rights or approve an agreement on your behalf.
